Boromir

If there was a contest for most creative title, I wouldn't win

One does not simply draw Boromir. No seriously, Sean Bean is not easy to draw. This didn't end up looking completely like him, I don't think, but I can't figure out what's wrong. It looks better when I look at it from a distance.

So I finally saw all of the LotR movies last week (yes, I had really never seen them before) and I really liked Boromir's character even though he's kind of a "shady character" as my sister put it. I love Sean Bean as an actor though so just about any character he plays, good or bad, ends up being kinda cool.

Anywho, this was a lot of fun to work on. All the little details in his cape and clothes got super tedious, but I guess it paid off in the end! I ended up having to sort of make up parts of his hair and cape because they were obscured by letters in my reference photo, plus it was all really dark so it was tough to see what I was doing.

I finished this in 4 days (I think -- there were a couple of lazy days in between so I kinda lost track). The whole thing probably took... ten hours, give or take? I used 2H, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 6B and 9B pencils.
